Mara Varnell, LMFT

Hi, I'm Mara

I help people move through trauma, anxiety, and stress with a grounded, evidence-based approach and a whole lot of warmth.

My story

I came to this work because I believe healing happens in relationship. Over the last decade, I have had the privilege of sitting with people through their hardest seasons, their quiet breakthroughs, and everything in between. My own path taught me that growth rarely looks like a straight line, and that is exactly why I meet every client without judgment, wherever they happen to be.

Outside of the therapy room, I find grounding in long walks, slow mornings, and the kind of quiet that lets you hear yourself think. I bring that same sense of calm into our work together.

What I believe

I believe you are not broken. I believe your struggles make complete sense given what you have lived through, and that healing is always possible with the right support. I believe in meeting you exactly where you are, honoring your pace, and building a relationship rooted in trust and respect. Most of all, I believe therapy should feel like a place you actually want to be.
